Security
Your login password encrypts your database's connection URL. Only you have access to your data.
When you create a panel, you'll need to reenter your login password. Flashboard uses it to encrypt your database connection URL and store it securely. You'll need to reenter your login password occasionally to decrypt it and keep using your panels.
We never save your connection string nor your data. Even if a malicious actor had access to Flashboard's servers, your database would still be safe.
Static IPs
It's good practice to block unknown IPs from accessing your PostgreSQL instance. Flashboard has static IPs that you can add to your database's allowlist.
You can see the IPs on the "Connect to your PostgreSQL Database" page, when creating a new panel.
Two-factor authentication
We recommend enabling two-factor authentication on your account and enforcing it for your whole team.
